The first match has been announced for the RevPro 12 Year Anniversary Show, with stars from Japan and Mexico involved.
NJPW’s British ace Zack Sabre Jr will compete at the show, following an impressive win over Ricky Knight Jr. He will take on CMLL’s Hechicero. The Mexican star has impressed in AEW in recent weeks ,including in a defeat to MJF at Forbidden door.
The match is actually a rematch from last week. The pair clashed in CMLL at Sabados de Coliseo on 22nd June 2024, in a match that Dave Meltzer rated as a five-star classic. British fans will be hoping their second contest can be just as good, or even better.
RevPro announced Zack Sabre Jr vs Hechicero was taking place on their Twitter account, prior to Forbidden Door. They announced the match for their 12th Anniversary show that is taking place one day prior to AEW All In at Wembley Stadium.
They wrote: “Saturday August 24th RevPro 12 Year Anniversary Show Copper Box Arena, London ZACK SABRE JR. Vs. HECHICERO”
