Will Ospreay is undoubtably one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.

Despite being just 31-years-old, he has become the best worker in the world, and a record holder in the ring.

The AEW star has had more five-star matches than anybody else in wrestling history.

This is according to Dave Meltzer, the premier wrestling journalist and founder of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

He has seen countless hours of pro wrestling over the past four decades, and has cast his judgement – Ospreay is King.

According to Meltzer, Will Ospreay has had 41 different five-star matches in his career so far.

This includes six-man tag team matches and tag matches, but is mainly composed of singles match. These are Ospreay’s speciality, and what makes him so electric inside the ring.

He broke the all-time record back in 2022 with his win over Shingo Tagaki in the G1 Climax.

Since then, he has 20 more matches that broke that coveted five-star barrier. His 41 matches put him 14 clear of second place Kazuchika Okada, and 16 clear of Kenny Omega.

There is no doubt that this puts Ospreay among the best British wrestlers of all time.
