RevPro ran their first show in Southampton in 2025 with some huge matches in just their second show of the year.
The event was filled with huge matches up and down the card. The main event featured a Southampton favourite fighting for Michael Oku’s Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship, while multiple other stars staked their claim for a title shot.
In this article, we’ll take you through all the matches from RevPro Live in Southampton 34, including all the winners, losers and notable moments from the show.
James Ellis vs JJ Gale

Two top young stars open RevPro Live in Southampton 34, including one of our “ones to watch for 2025“. The show kicked off as Welsh wrestling star James Ellis took on “The Heart and Soul Of RevPro”, as JJ Gale has taken to call himself as he chases the Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship.
While this was clearly a way to build up Gale for a match with Oku, I think James Ellis came out of the match looking better. Both men got some good offence in, but what JJ Gale clearly worked hard on, Ellis looked effortless in the ring.
Ellis attacked before the bell to kick off the match and had the crowd against him from the off. JJ Gale hit some fun high-flying offence and was ever the lovable babyface throughout the match. James Ellis constant engagement with the crowd, in MJF-esque fashion, made sure of that.
JJ Gale picked up the win in a short match with a Gale Force. As it stands, I don’t think he’s got a chance against Oku, but I want to see more of James Ellis.
Winner: JJ Gale via pinfall.
Ricky Knight Jr vs Leon Cage

Another match between two top young stars with a view for a Heavyweight title shot was next, as Leon Cage battled Ricky Knight Jr. RKJ firmly put himself in view of a title shot at Uprising 2024, with the 17-year-old standing in his way in Southampton.
Cage was 0-8 in RevPro leading up to this match, but he has been in the ring with big stars like Michael Oku, Leon Slater and Robbie X with some of the best matches of the year so far. However, a motivated RKJ may be his biggest test yet.
This match told a simple story – speed vs power. The size of Ricky Knight Jr was taken full advantage of, as Cage’s speed and high-flying ability was his one weapon against his bulkier opponent who took no prisoners with his big chops and huge suplexes.
The Young Welshman fought from underneath for the bulk of the match. He was beaten down, before rallying back to his feet only to be taken out by a list of horrendous moves, including a top rope Jackhammer.
Leon Cage kept kicking out of everything. He avoided a Styles Clash before lifting his shoulder before the three after a superkick, Muscle Buster and 450 splash, as Ricky Knight Jr looked a renewed figure and an absolute monster.
Cage fought back with a Canadian Destroyer, but RKJ got three count with a Rikishi Driver in a match that made him look totally dominant and more than a match for Michael Oku in the weeks to come.
Winner: Ricky Knight Jr via pinfall.
Alex Windsor vs Amira Blair
This match was supposed to put Alex Windsor against Chantal Jordan. However, Jordan came down with illness prior to the match and that bout had to be cancelled at the last minute.
She grabbed a microphone and ran down Chantal Jordan, saying she was scared to face her. Windsor then threw out a warning to Mercedes Mone, signalling her intent to challenge for the Undisputed British Women’s Championship.
Amira Blair, who is also the valet for Michael Oku, came out to challenge the Cut Throat Collective member in this impromptu match.
It was a decent back-and-forth encounter. The crowd were firmly behind Amira, despite how little she seems to wrestle in RevPro. Alex Windsor clearly led the way in the match and was very impressive working as a heel for the Southampton crowd.
Alex Windsor walked out the winner after forcing Amira to tap out to the Sharpshooter, adding another victory for the Cut Throat Collective. After the match, she mocked Michael Oku and locked in the Boston Crab, before being attacked by Zoe Lucas, one week after her first match in wrestling after two years.
Winner: Alex Windsor via submission.
Young Guns vs Sunshine Machine

Following an impressive win last week over the Barcelona Blacklist, Luke Jacobs and Ethan Allen had a dream match against former Undisputed British Tag Team Champions Sunshine Machine.
The Young Guns made their intentions clear last week. Luke Jacobs put regaining the Heavyweight title on the back burner, instead wanting to face Connor Mills and Jay Joshua to win the tag team belts instead.
That duo won the belts from Sunshine Machine at Uprising, so Chuck Mambo and TK Cooper are also trying to get back into title contention after losing their titles. They were fired up for this match, although it did lack the energy from some of the earlier bouts that night.
To me, the match felt a bit disjointed. All four men did everything correctly and there was nothing wrong with the match, but something just felt off. This is a shame because I’m a big fan of both these teams and was very much looking forward to this match.
It definitely picked up towards the end of the match. The pace picked up, but so did some botches from Sunshine Machine. It turned into a fun match and ended with the Young Guns forced both of their opponents to tap out.
Winner: Young Guns via submission.
Robbie X vs Stephen Wolf

The crowd got hot again after the interval with Bullet Club’s Robbie X in action. He is a fan favourite in RevPro and, in my view, one of the best wrestlers in the world right now.
This was a pure work rate match and, so far, the match of the night. Wolf beat Will Kaven last week and looks to be next in line to face him for the Cruiserweight title. However, a win for Robbie X could turn that into a multi-man match in the near future.
There’s not much to say about this match aside from “watch it”. I’d never seen Stephen Wolf before he came back to RevPro in 2025 and have been very impressed in his two performances so far.
Meanwhile, Robbie X is Robbie X. Why this man isn’t going for the Heavyweight title is beyond me. He’s arguably the best worker in Britain today and should be acknowledged as such.
Ever loyal to Bullet Club (ask him, he’ll tell you), Robbie X won the match via cheating. After the referee had his back turned, he gouged out Stephen Wolf’s eye and pinned with a big kick.
After the match, Will Kaven attacked Robbie X with his Undisputed British Cruiserweight title belt. He attempted to hit Stephen Wolf, who fought back and walked out with the upper hand, despite losing the match.
Winner: Robbie X via pinfall.
Jay Joshua vs Iker Navarro
Another match that was spoiled by injury was Jay Joshua vs Chris Ridgeway. Ridgeway, like Chantal Jordan, was taken out by illness and had to be taken out of the match against one half of the tag team champions.
However, the replacement might have been even better than what was advertised. El Cazador Iker Navarro battled 1 Called Manders last week and was impressive enough to get another match for RevPro, this time against Jay Joshua.
The match started like the previously mentioned match – they ran into each other like bulls, exchanging big hits to see which big man slapped the most meat.
There was a scary moment early on. Iker Navarro was thrown into the ring post, but smashed him back on the metal post and crashed onto the outside of the ring, clutching his lower back. He made it back to the ring but it was a nasty-looking bump.
The rest of the match was a non-stop cacophony of clotheslines. Both men were spent by the end of it and it took a flying headbutt and piledriver combination for Jay Joshua to get the win, although Iker Navarro won the crowd over throughout the match.
Luke Jacobs and Ethan Allen attacked Jay Joshua after the match, signalling their intention to challenge for the Undisputed British Heavyweight Championships.
Winner: Jay Joshua vs pinfall.
1 Called Manders vs Leon Slater

One week after both men declared their intentions to become the Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion, Leon Slater took on 1 Called Manders in a main event calibre match at RevPro Live in Southampton.
This match was claimed to be a “title eliminator” match by Gideon Grey on commentary, although Andy Quildan refused to give an answer either way when asked the question.
Manders had size and power over Slater, which was the strategy he used to get on top of the match. He wrestles like a modern-day Stan Hansen, so his English opponent was ready to be clubbed in the head multiple times during this match.
They did a fun spot where Slater tried his best to knock down Manders. He eventually tried to cheat to do it, which only angered his much larger and hungrier opponent. Slater did manage to knock down 1 Called Manders with kicks and suicide dives as he used his own skills to get on top.
Looking at them, you’d struggle to think that Slater could physically dominate Manders, but the match was worked so well that you believed him and cheered for Manders to wrestle from below against his smaller, younger opponent.
In the end, Leon Slater stole a win after Manders collapsed on his bad leg, leaving the chance to roll him up and take the win against his American opponent. 1 Called Manders kept fighting after the loss as Leon Slater looks likely to face Michael Oku for the title in the future.
Winner: Leon Slater via pin fall.
Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship: Michael Oku vs David Francisco

Southampton erupted as their favourite Portugeues wrestler, David Francisco, made his entrance to face Michael Oku. He pinned the Englishman last year in a multi-man tag team match, earning an unlikely opportunity at Oku’s championship in his adopted home town.
Oku, sans Amira due to her earlier match, was unusually the second-most popular man in the match. Southampton is decidedly Francisco country, although I’m still not sure why they love him so much.
This was never going to be the best match in the world. The bout cemented just how good Oku was and how Francisco simply isn’t a main eventer.
…unless he’s in Southampton. This comedy midcarder was severely outclassed but kept the underdog spirit with him throughout the match, taking all Oku had always got back up in his quest to become the British Heavyweight Champion.
After a prolonged beatdown, he came close to a win with a Claymore Kick, although Oku kicked out after a two-count. A curb stomp brought the same result as the Portugeues wrestler threatened to walk out as the new champion on multiple occasions.
The referee was knocked out and missed Francisco tapping out to the single-leg Boston Crab, which raised hopes that he could yet win the belt. The low blow on Oku added to the hope, as the crowd erupted following a Rock Bottom. He got the three count, but the referee was late into the ring and he didn’t quite hit the third slap to the map.
Then, the unthinkable happened. David Francisco rolled up Oku to win the match and win the Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship. The crowd erupted as Francisco pranced around the venue celebrating with his fans.

…of course he didn’t!
Due to some significant tomfoolery, the referees restarted the match and Oku immediately went onto the offensive, hitting a frog splash and pinning his opponent. Franscisco used the rope for leverage and thus his win was declared null and void. Now, it looked like he’d lost his chance to be champion.
BUT FRANCISCO KICKED OUT!
Then he tapped out to the Boston Crab as the crowd chanted “Bullshit!”. They wanted their home away from home hometown to walk out as champion, and they nearly saw exactly that. If they did want to turn Michael Oku heel, that is exactly how they should have done it.

After the match, RKJ attacked Francisco but JJ Gale made the save to close the show.
