Simon Miller has revealed how his YouTube and hosting careers have helped him forge a connection with the PROGRESS wrestling fans.
The PROGRESS Proteus Champion recently sat down with the A2THEK Podcast, where he discussed his jump from a host to a wrestler.
Simon Miller revealed that helping to create that connection before he wrestled helped build a bond with the fans, that made them want to live through his successes in the ring.
He added that doing commentary has helped him learn even more about wrestling, saying that its much different to watching the wrestling at home on a screen.
“I was able to create a connection with the PROGRESS fans through hosting, and it was fun. It breeds a bond, and then it became, ‘We’ll live vicariously through Simon’ when I started wrestling. It’s the coolest thing in the world.” Simon Miller said.
“I think it helps because you can study wrestlers at home, but in an arena, you see things maybe you wouldn’t see. I would love to do it more, and I’ve had great feedback.”
Simon Miller Reveals His Goals For 2025
Continuing, Simon Miller was asked if he has any goals for the coming year.
Immediately, he named a dream match of his was to face Mark Haskins in PROGRESS. He doesn’t know if he has what it takes to beat him, but will do his best to make the Proteus Championship the best it can be.
“Everyone’s a dream match, but I want one-on-one with Mark Haskins.” Simon Miller admits. “Can I survive Haskins? I won’t know until I try. It’s the year of re-establishing the Proteus World Championship. I want to take on anyone that I can.”
