Luke Jacobs won the Progress World Championship in impressive faction at Progress Chapter 139.

The 23-year-old took just nine minutes to defeat reigning champion Kid Lykos at Electric Ballroom in London. He emphatically put down Lykos, utlising his hard-hitting strikes and suplexes to easily take home the gold.

Luke Jacobs earned the title match by winning the Super Strong Style tournament earlier this year. It marks his first reign as the Progress World Champion, as is one of the youngest wrestlers to hold the title.

Kid Lykos had his reigning ended after over 150 days as champion. He beat Spike Trivet at Progress Chapter 163: Twister Metal, winning in a steel cage match.

He managed just three title defences in that time, defeating Lio Rush, Mark Haskins and Man Like DeReiss.
