Grado had a nice interaction with Paul Wight, aka the Big Show, backstage at AEW All In 2023.

The Scottish star made a shock appearance last year at Wembley Stadium. He made a last-minute appearance at AEW All In, coming out on the pre-show to help Big Show and Anthony Ogogo fight off Jeff Jarrett and his cronies.

While he had never appeard in AEW before, Grado was hugely popular with the UK crowd. Owing to his time in ICW and World of Sport, the man from Stevenson got one of the biggest pops of the night, even without his iconic entrance music.

Grado appeared on The Lewis Nicholson Show, where he spoke about his interactions with The Big Show (Paul Wight) at Wembley Stadium.

The former ICW World Champion claimed that Big Show didn’t expect much of him before their segment. However, he told him that Grado got a bigger pop than him, and sent him a nice message on social media afterwards.

Grado added that he knew 90% of the talent and crew in AEW already from his time in TNA. He noted that his dream is to have a match with Jeff Jarrett at Wembley Stadium, which could happen this week at All In 2024.

“‘You got a bigger pop than me, kid.’ That’s exactly what he said. Then he followed me right away and sent me a lovely DM. It was just a magical, magical experience.”

You know, 90% of the roster backstage, I knew them anyway because I had worked with a lot of them in the Indies or in TNA. It was the TNA production crew that I hadn’t seen in years, so it was just the best day—meeting pals I hadn’t seen for years.”

I definitely count it as one of the best days of my life, without a doubt. But I want to wrestle Jeff Jarrett at Wembley, which would be quite good.”

Sadly, Grado couldn’t use Madonna’s “Like A Prayer” at Wembley Stadium last year. Click here to find out why!
