Grado revealed that his appearance at AEW All In 2023 was a last-minute thing.

The Scottish star appeared at Wembley Stadium last year, getting a huge surprise pop from the crowd.

He helped Anthony Ogogo and the Big Show fight off Jeff Jarrett and his crew, clearing the ring in an incredible moment for the fans in attendance, and the wrestlers in the ring.

Grado spoke with The Lewis Nicholls Show about how his All In appearance came to be. He revealed that he only found out at the “very last minute”, and that he took the time to soak in the adulation after making his entrance.

“That was all very last minute. I actually got in trouble for saying too much in another interview because I went on another one the day after and started probably saying too much again. But what I will say is that it was a last-minute thing for me.

I met the Big Show, who I came up to the ring with, along with Anthony Ogogo. So, I’m literally standing behind the curtain—or rather, the screens—shaking the Big Show’s hand. I’m like, ‘Hi, I’m Grado. I’m going to be the guy in your segment.’ He didn’t exactly say it like that, but that was the vibe. You know what I mean?

Me and Anthony were standing there, and you know, I never got my entrance music—’Like a Prayer,’ which is a long story. However, there was that moment where Ogogo and Big Show walked forward, pointed back, and my name came up on the screen. Mate, I’m not joking—the crowd just went wild. All I could do was run through and try to embrace it as much as possible.

Back in the day, I wrestled Drew McIntyre in front of 5,000 people for the ICW title in 2015, and I never really embraced moments like that. At the time, I never tried to soak it in, but I did remember Wembley—there were 60,000 people there, or whatever it was, and it was just… I’m on top of the ropes, so I just tried to embrace everything, man. It was the best.”

Grado impressed at All In, and even the Big Show took note of how much the fans loved him.
