Anthony Ogogo will be representing AEW on one of Channel 4’s biggest reality shows.

The boxer-turned-wrestler will be braving the wildnerness in New Zealand for the newest series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Win.

The show sees a series of celebrities compete to complete a British Special Forces selection course. It is a notoriously difficult course, which features gruelling hikes, physical challenges and even withstanding torture.

The series has been going since 2015, with the celebrity edition starting in 2019 in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.

Anthony Ogogo announced his participation in the show on Twitter, promoting the airing of the show on September 22nd at 9pm on Channel 4.

The Olympic bronze medallist said that he was “pushed beyond my limits” when filming for the show, and wants to show the British public what he’s truly made of.

“Who dares wins, Rodney.” From the boxing ring to the wrestling ring and now to the ultimate battlefield—I’m stepping into SAS: Who Dares Wins. Watch me push beyond my limits on September 22nd at 9pm on @Channel4 Time to see what I’m truly made of! 🥊💥 #SASWhoDaresWins

It looks to be an exciting season, although it could be a tough watch for fans of the AEW star. Anthony Ogogo reportedly suffered a mental breakdown due to the stress of the tasks.

In an interview with The Sun, a TV insider claimed that he took his stress out on a crew member, and even threatened to throw him off the cliff they were on.

However, he eventually calmed down and nobody was hurt.

“Anthony went crazy after a tough task that involved pulling something up the side of a mountain in the snow.

“He was stressed out from the challenge and took his anger out on a crew member. He screamed at him and threatened to throw him off the side.”

“He’s a big bloke and because he’s a boxer, everyone was terrified. Thankfully he calmed down eventually and no one was hurt but it was a scary situation.”

Anthony Ogogo joins a number of famous faces, including John Barrowman, Pete Wicks and Bianca Gascoigne.
