Progress Chapter 176 Match Card And Predictions

The first match has been announced for Progress Chapter 176: For The Love Of Progress 3.

  • Subculture (Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster) vs The Young Guns (Progress World Champion Luke Jacobs and Ethan Allen)

Subculture (Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster) vs The Young Guns (Progress World Champion Luke Jacobs and Ethan Allen)

PROGRESS Chapter 176 has its first match announced, as a huge first-time matchup between Subculture and Young Guns is taking place.

We predict that Subculture will win the match, thanks to interference from the PROGRESS key holder, Tate Mayfairs. He is looking to cash in his title shot against Luke Jacobs at PROGRESS Chapter 177 and will want to get one over with him with some brass knuckles of Valentine’s Day in Manchester.

SubCulture could then go on to face the Smokin’ Aces in the future, possibly as PROGRESS Chapter 177 for the PROGRESS Tag Team Championships, assuming they go on to win this bout against the Young Guns.

1 Called Manders vs Tate Mayfairs

This match was cancelled last year in London, due to 1 Called Manders having travel issues. Luckily, its being run back at Progress Chapter 176!

Tate Mayfairs has a title match with Luke Jacobs a week later, so its unlikely he won’t walk away with the win in this one. It’ll be a good way to build him up for the title match and continues Manders’ tour of the UK, starting at RevPro Live in London 92.

Nina Samuels vs Emersyn Jayne

Nina Samuels won the PROGRESS Women’s title at Unboxing in December and has her first title defence against Emersyn Jayne at For The Love Of PROGRESS.

It’s unlikely she loses the belt on her first defence with no buildup, so we have Samuels winning clean in this one.

Man Called Dereiss vs Richard Holiday

2024 was a big one for Man Like Dereiss and 2025 could be his breakout year as a main event star.

Being given the match with MLW star Richard Holliday shows the PROGRESS management’s belief in his skills. While he may not win this match, it should kick off his 2025 with a bang.

Lykos Gym vs Nico x Mills

Another huge tag team match helps PROGRESS kick off the year with Chapter 176. Lykos Gym seems former PROGRESS World Champion Kid Lykos tag with Kid Lykos II battling Nico Bryant and Connor Mills in tag team action.

While you’d expect Lykos Gym to win this one, you never know how 2025 will go in PROGRESS. All four men are some of Britain’s best wrestlers, so the fans will be the real winners in this contest.

If I had to pick, I’d go with Nico x Mills cheating to win. They ruined Lykos’ chance of winning the Thunderbastard, and this doesn’t feel like the end of the feud.

Simon Miller vs Charles Crowley

Fans will get to vote on the stipulation for the Proteus Championship match between Simon Miller and Charles Crowley.
