New World of Sport Wrestling Trailer Released, Broadcast Details Remain Under Wraps

A new trailer for the return of World of Sport Wrestling has been released, although details on where fans can watch the show are scarce.

A teaser for WOS Wrestling titled “The Return” dropped last week, giving some insight into what the show will look like.

While it retains some semblance of the brightly-coloured and sanitised ITV production, the colours are more muted and the lights dimmed to create a more intimate feel.

The crowd look more engaged, mainly due to the producers bringing in wrestling fans as opposed to just family members of the cast and crew, as ITV did with their show seven years ago.

The video shows a new cast of wrestlers ready to wow the fans. Stars like Grado, Sha Samuels, Adam Maxted, LA Taylor and Alex Windsor are just some of the names included in this star-studded roster.

It looks to be focusing more on the actual wrestling side of the business, as opposed to the ITV-ification of the last reboot. That was one of the main criticisms for the previous series and clearly big changes have been made to try and draw in more wrestling fans this time.

Two shows were filmed in Norwich back in September, which will likely be the first two episodes of the event.

New champions were crowned, so I’d suggest avoiding spoilers if you don’t want to see who walks away with the men’s and women’s belts in the first few shows.

How To Watch World of Sport Wrestling: The Return

However, the biggest issue is that we have no idea where to watch it!

In their original press release, WOS revealed that their content will not be on TV but made available for streaming.

This is a big blow for them. ITV1 gave them a potential audience of millions for the series in 2018, which ended up not drawing in the viewers they hoped.

They will have a much smaller reach this time around, which means that much, much fewer people will even hear about the show, let alone watch it.

Assuming you do want to watch it, then bad luck. They still have no release date and no details on how to watch the WOS: The Return shows.

It is worrying how little information AND interest there is in the product right now. The trailer hasn’t cracked 300 views on YouTube yet (the benchmark on the platform in years gone by), which shows how poorly it has been marketed so far.

We have contacted the promotion for more information and will update this article once more information becomes available.
