Progress Wrestling is bringing its latest show to the Electric Ballroom in February with Chapter 177.
The show, titled “My Own Destiny”, comes just nine days after Chapter 176: For The Love Of Progress 3. These shows help kick off 2025, which could be a huge year for Progress Wrestling in the UK.
The promotion announced the show on Twitter, revealing tickets are now on sale for the show taking place on February 23rd, 2025.
They also confirmed that the event would feature the return of Meiko Satomura. It also sees Luke Jacobs defending his Progress World Championship against Tate Mayfairs, following the latter’s victory in the Thunder Bastard at the end of 2024.

So far, the only match announced for the show is Tate Mayfairs vs Luke Jacobs. Mayfairs won a key that earned him a title shot at the Unboxing event and will cash it in at the Electric Ballroom in the main event.

Here are our predictions for Progress Chapter 177: My Own Destiny. This is based on the shows leading up to the event and the most likely outcomes based on recent bookings in the promotion.
Progress World Championship: Luke Jacobs vs Tate Mayfairs
The first match announced for the show is likely the main event. Luke Jacobs, fresh off dropping the Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship to Michael Oku at RevPro Uprising 2024, will hope he doesn’t lose his other belt so soon into 2025.
Tate Mayfairs is a top heel and is destined for big things. He has wrestled in AEW and other promotions in the US and looks set to become a big player in the UK scene.
However, it doesn’t seem like his time and Jacobs needs a big win to cement himself as the top man in British wrestling.
Prediction: Luke Jacobs retains.
Sanity vs Sunshine Machine
A huge tag team clash was announced for PROGRESS Chapter 177. Sunshine Machine and Sanity have been at each other’s throats for months, costing the other gold as their attacks got increasingly violent and more personal.
This should be a heated match in which either team could win. My money is on Sunshine Machine but I could see this match going either way.
Prediction: Sunshine Machine win.
