A huge match has been announced for PROGRESS Chapter 177: My Own Destiny as Japanese legend Meiko Satomura will battle Rhio.
Satomura will compete in PROGRESS for the first time since as she embarks on her retirement tour. Her final stop in the promotion comes against Rhio, who is just coming off a 434-day reign as the women’s champion.
Both women are former PROGRESS Women’s Champions, with Meiki Satomura losing the belt to Jinny back in 2019. This will be a huge clash, with the winner almost certainly launching themselves back into the title picture in the near future.
In a statement released by PROGRESS, they wrote:
The final boss has returned to PROGRESS Wrestling!
For the first time since 2019, wrestling legend Meiko Satomura returns to PROGRESS to take on another former PROGRESS Women’s World Champion Rhio in a dream match at Chapter 177: My Own Destiny.
Rhio, coming off her historic 434-day reign, is out to prove she’s still the queen of PROGRESS. But standing in her way is Meiko Satomura, a global icon of professional wrestling on her farewell tour before her retirement later in the year.
Can Rhio reclaim her dominance on the division, proving to Nina Samuels who the REAL champion is or will Meiko Satomura deliver her final masterclass in the UK?
Find out live on Sunday, February 23rd, at the Electric Ballroom!
