What Happened Crater From World Of Sport?

Crater was one of the new monster wrestlers brought in for the World of Sport reboot in 2018.

The huge, masked villain bore a resemblance to Bane from the Batman comics, and cut a demonic figure when he stepped inside the ring.

Evoking the pure size and presence of the likes of Giant Haystacks from the past, he looked set to become the biggest “bad guy” on the show.

However, it was cancelled after just one season, before Crater could sink his teeth into his new role on ITV.

His monstrous mask, 26-stone body and massive figure made him an unstoppable beat. Many envisioned him to be the next Giant Haystacks, but he never fulfillied his potential in the ring.

What Happened To Crater After World of Sport Was Cancelled?

Sadly, Crater’s career hasn’t gone brilliantly since World of Sport was cancelled.

He wrestled on the WOS live tour in 2019 numerous times, beating Gabe Kidd in every match he competed in.

After that, Crater continued to wrestle across the UK, but didn’t seem to be able to make it in any top promotions.

He wrestled on low-level indie shows, including at Grado’s Big Family Wrestling Bash. Unfornautely, his career would end with one last match against Chris Cohen in October 2020.

The 26-stone monster hasn’t wrestled since 2020 (according to Cagematch), with something taking him out of the business completely after the show was cancelled.

He is not the only one from that roster to retire. Former WoS Champion Justin Sysum retired after the show ended, and now has an entirely different career (click here to find out more).

It us unknown whether Crater will return for the World of Sport: The Return series. He has not be announced to be part of the roster, but the former ITV wrestler could be a last-minute addition to the show.
