RevPro Live in London 91 from the 229 London is the latest show from RevPro as they embark on the road Upring at the York Hall later this month.
This event features a stacked card with talents from all across the UK and beyond taking part. New Bullet Club member Robbie X is in action and the show boasts a huge main event, putting former Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion Michael Oku against the prodigy Leon Cage.
In this article, we’ll go through the results of every match at RevPro Live In London 91, including all the winners and the star ratings from the match (including Dave Meltzer’s if graded) while looking at how the show builds to RevPro Uprising 2024.
Robbie X vs Ethan Allen
After Francesca welcomed everyone to the 229 in London to the show, the first match on the card was revealed. The newest member of the Bullet Club, Robbie X, was out first much to the delight of the London crowd.
He took on Ethan Allen. As one half of The Young Guns, a win over Robbie X in singles competition would be a huge boon. The crowd were split on who they wanted to win, letting out duelling chants as the match started.
It was a good match with Robbie X playing the clear heel. However, his wrestling ability was so great that the crowd struggled to boo him. He tried his best, even drinking out of one of the cups he found on the floor of the front row of seats.
He even kicked a member of the crowd (a tall, quite built “fan” dressed in a RevPro shirt) to really get them behind Ethan Allen as a babyface. Good old-school heel work, it was great to see.
Ethan Allen did his job well but this match was for Robbie X. The King of the Cruiserweights looked excellent throughout, especially with his lightning-quick sequences that Allen sold very well.
Robbie X won the match after a series of rolling pins ended up with him on top but with both men’s shoulders on the mat. He managed to get them up at the last minute and just sneak the three-count to take the victory back to Japan with him.
Winner: Robbie X via pinfall

Greedy Souls vs CPF
Tag team action is up next with two Welshmen making their entrance. Danny Jones and Brendan White, better known as Greedy Souls, faced off against CPF. Brendan White immediately rushed over the commentary desk and threatened to “bash in” the face of RevPro editor Harry Milligan.
Greedy Souls battled the first-ever winners of the RevPro Trios Grand Prix winners. Joe Lando and Danny Black came out with a roar from the crowd following their big win, but it was still a big ask to get past their Welsh opponents in this event.
Despite getting attacked before the match, the diminutive Joe Lando managed to fight off the Greedy Souls with some impressive high-flying moves. He didn’t even have time to remove his shirt, which should give him a few extra sales after the show.
CPF had the upper hand but the size and constant cheating of Greedy Souls put them in control of the match. Both teams executed their roles perfectly and the Welshmen made CPF look like stars. Black and Lando had some impressive combination matches and showed no regard for their safety with the way they flew around the ring.
They looked to have picked up the win with a flurry of offence ending in a shooting star press. Brendan White somehow kicked out of the issuing pinfall and the match continued. Danny Jones eventually got the tag into the match and they began to double-team Danny Black.
The ending of the match was very creative. Danny Jones pretended to be tripped by Maverick Mayhew and tried to get the ref to eject him from ringside. While he was distracted, Brendan White tried to attack CPF with a chair but was thwarted by Harry Milligan at ringside.
CPF hit the FIJ for the W I N to end the match and pick up an unlikely win over Greedy Souls to build on their Trios Grand Prix victory last month.
Winner: CPF via pinfall

Anita Vaughn vs Millie McKenzie Safire Reed
In the first of two women’s matches on the card, Irish star Anita Vaughn wrestled Millie McKenzie in just her fourth appearance in RevPro.
Well, at least she was supposed to. Mercedes Blaze made her way to the ring instead of McKenzie before the match started despite having a tag team match booked later that night. She announced Millie McKenzie couldn’t make it to the show before Safire Reed attacked Vaughn from behind.
Safire dominated AV for the most part in between spats with various spats with the crowd, who slowly got behind the Irish babyface. She took a lot of punishment but got back into the match, always earning the win with a disgusting-looking fisherman’s driver.
However, it was Safire Reed who won the match, hitting AV with a running, diving headbutt called The Warhead, which was accurately described on commentary as a “Ralph Wiggum-like headbutt”. It was disappointing missing out on seeing Millie McKenzie at RevPro Live in London 91, but the match was a worthy replacement.
Winner: Safire Reed via pinfall

Connor Mills & Jay Joshua vs Liam Slater & Zozaya
Connor Mills and Jay Joshua are on the hunt for tag team gold but have to go through Zozaya and TNA’s Liam Slater if they want to progress further.
The match started as the crowd serenaded the Spaniard Zozaya with a rendition of Feliz Navidad as get grappled with Mills and Joshua. He was caught by a big power slam from Joshua before tagging in Slater to keep control of the match.
They worked well together and used their high-flying moves to wow the crowd. They found their voice much more in this match, especially when the babyface duo were on top. This didn’t last long as Mills and Joshua used all their trickery (cheating) to keep their opponents ground.
There was some great confusion between Zozaya and Leon Slater which almost led to their defeat, but Slater managed to kick off out of a devastating-looking rebound lariat. The match had a frantic finish with everything but the kitchen sink being thrown at the wrestlers, but nobody seemed to be able to get the victory.
It looked like the Babyfaces won the match with Slater’s 450 Swanton Bomb, but Connor Mills broke it up by attacking the referee. While the “Scottish Ref” was distracted, Jay Joshua low-blowed Zozaya before Connor Mills hit a Key Crusher, which Zozaya somehow kicked out of.
Mills eventually pinned Zozoya after a double inverted slam. It was a brilliant match that went slightly too long and had too many false finishes. Saying that, Zozaya came out of it looking like a star despite taking the pin from Connor Mills.
Zozoya and Liam Slater are set to compete against one another at RevPro Uprising 2024 in the company’s first-ever 60-minute Iron Man match.
Winner: Mills & Joshua via pinfall

Flying Bryant Brothers vs Will Kaven, Keiron Lacey and Mark Trew
After the interval, we were treated to a six-man tag team match featuring the British Cruiserweight Champion Will Kaven. He teamed with Keiron Lacey and Mark Trew against Zander Bryant, Nino Bryant & Leland Bryant, AKA The Flying Briant Brothers.
The Bryant Brothers were clear babyfaces, although I did struggle to differentiate them when they were in the ring together. Their chemistry together was clear though, despite their relative youth and inexperience in the ring.
It was a fairly formulaic six-man tag team with some sloppy moments. I am not a fan of trios matches in general so I can appreciate that this match wasn’t for me. However, the Bryant Brothers are definitely ones to watch, with Xander Bryant in particular looking good.
Lacey powerbombed Nino Bryant into his brother to stop a pinfall, which is something I’ve never seen before. Kaven then hit a Black Flag Double Foot Stomp to win the match for his trio and hand the Bryant Brothers the loss in an entertaining, if not predictable, match.
Afte the match they assaulted the brothers until CPF ran in to make the save, potentially setting up a future match between the two teams.
Winner: Kaven, Lacey & Trew via Pinfall

JJ Gale vs Charlie Sterling
After answering Charlie Sterling’s open challenge upon his return to RevPro, JJ Gale put it all on the line in this match.
Both men exploded as soon as the bell rang, running at each other to unleash punches in a start reminiscent of Takayama vs Frye from PRIDE. It quickly found its way out of the ring as the pair brawled around the merchandise table and in the bar.
They battled amongst the fans before returning to the ring, continuing the bout at a very fast pace. If you want big bumps and huge slams, this is the match for you. This was the best match from RevPro Live in London 91 at this point in the show and one to go out of your way to watch.
JJ Gale took a hell of a beating from Charlie Sterling. He fought back after some vicious suplexes with a corner powerbomb and used his speed to make up for Sterling’s power advantage. They had a great back-and-forth for the rest of the match with both men close to picking up the win.
The ending of the match was a scary one. GG Gale went for a split-legged moonsault but landed awkwardly on his neck. The referee called off the match even with Gale ready to continue while stood on the top rope, calling it off for the sake of his health.
This was a potential four-star match up to that point, but the (rightful) referee stoppage took it down a notch. I anticipate a rematch in the future once JJ Gale is cleared to wrestle again.
Winner: Charlie Sterling via referee stoppage

Cut Throat Collective vs Kanji & Chantal Jordan
The penultimate match of RevPro Live In London 91 saw Mercedes Blaze make her second appearance of the night. She teamed with Nina Samuels to battle the duo of Kanji and Chantal Jordan.
Kanji impressed greatly in the early exchanges and had the crowd firmly behind her. She continues to grow as a wrestler and is becoming one of the most impressive female wrestlers in the UK today. However, she was quickly overpowered by the Cut Throat Collective.
After a prolonged beatdown, she found Chantal Jordan for the hot tag. The pair dominated and looked to have won the match with a double submission in the ring. However, Safire Reed made the interference and Blaze hit a curb stomp to win the match.
Winner: Cut Throat Collective via Pinfall
Star Rating: 2.5 Stars
After the match, Greedy Souls came out and attacked Harry Milligan with chairs in the ring, taking revenge for his part in the duo losing to CPF earlier in the night. The referees and security eventually broke up the attack but the damage was already done.
Leon Cage vs Michael Oku
Leon Cage made his debut at the 229 as the 17-year-old from Neath, South Wales came out for the main event of RevPro Live In London 91. He faced off against Michael Oku who is gearing up for a match against Luke Jacobs at RevPro Uprising 2024 for the Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship.
The match started quickly and with great urgency. Oku showed numerous heel tendencies during the match, which could hint at a future heel turn in the near future.
One highlight of the match saw Leon Cage attempt the Muta elbow into the corner but was interrupted midair by Oku’s dropkick. He was swatted out of the air in a spot I’d never seen before. Oku also managed to counter Leon Cage’s incredible springboard “Stomp Into The Future” powerbomb move with a Hurricanrana which was amazing.
It’s hard to talk through everything that happened in the match because there was so much in such a short space of time. The crowd serenaded Leon Cage as he hit moonsaults and 450s splashes and came agonisingly close to getting the biggest win of his career.
If he wasn’t already clearly going to be huge, this was a star-making performance by Leon Cage. He hit the Stomp into the Future and Canadian Destroyer. However, a Styles Clash into the single-leg Boston Crab earned Michael Oku the win and put him in good stead for his match with Luke Jacobs at RevPro Uprising 2024 later this month.
Winner: Michael Oku via Pinfall
