AEW have announced that next year’s Forbidden Door event will take place in London, England.

With the news that AEW All In 2025 would be coming from Texas, British fans were worried that they’d miss out on an AEW show in the UK next year.

Luckily, they aren’t just getting an AEW show, but a collaborative effort between Tony Khan’s promotion, as well as NJPW, CMLL, Stardom and many more.

Signs in London have begun advertising for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 taking place in London next year. As it is not even officially announced, we have jumped the gun and made some early predictions about what we could see at the iconic event.

Predictions For AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025

While obviously nothing has been announced for the show yet, we have made some bold predictions about what may happen at the event.

In the 2024 edition, promotions like CMLL and Stardom joined in on the action. With London hosting Forbidden Door 2025, we predict that RevPro will get in on the action.

As arguably the biggest British wrestling promotion in the UK, they would be welcomed by AEW to join their group of “Forbidden Door” promotions.

RevPro have worked with NJPW extensively in the past, and even sent wrestlers like Michael Oku and Kid Lykos to complete at AEW’s debut in Cardiff this week.

We predict that the Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship will be on the line at the show. After beating Michael Oku at RevPro Summer Sizzler 2024, MJF could demand a title shot against Michael Oku, or whoever is champion at the time. Our money is on MJF vs Luke Jacobs for the belt, but time will tell.

Meanwhile, we think that by that time, Will Ospreay will hold the AEW World Championship. He will walk into Forbidden Door, which looks to be at Fulham’s Craven Cottage, as champion, and face off with one of NJPW’s top star.

We predict the main event will be Will Ospreay vs Zack Sabre Jr. The pair have already had incredible matches in NJPW and RevPro. It is time to see them together in an AEW ring, in a match the fans would go crazy for.

Meanwhile, the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion will also be on the line. We predict that Yota Tsuji will be champion. A match against former champion Jon Moxley would be an excellent match, although we would prefer her defend against former Bullet Club member “Hangman” Adam Page.

Our predicted match card for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 in London is:

  • AEW Championship – Will Ospreay vs Zack Sabre Jr
  • Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship – Luke Jacobs vs MJF
  • IWGP World Heavyweight Championship – Yota Tsuji vs Adam Page
  • The Elite vs Bullet Club
  • Bang Bang Gang vs Los Ingernobles de Japon
  • Darby Allin vs Bryan Danielson
  • Kenny Omega vs Swerve Strickland

We will add more matches once the card for Forbidden Door becomes clearer.
