Michael Oku has been in talks with AEW, as rumours of a Wembley Stadium appearance continue.
The Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion lost to AEW’s MJF at RevPro Summer Sizzler 2024, in a match that saw run-ins from Luke Jacobs and Will Ospreay.
With rumours that he is set to wrestle in the Casino Gauntlet Match at All In, the OJMO spilled the beans on his communications with Tony Khan.
Michael Oku spoke with Stephanie Chase on YouTube, and was asked if he was going to be involved in AEW Dynamite in Cardiff, or at AEW All In later this month.
He confirmed that “there’s been contact made” between himself and the company, although he couldn’t confirm more. Michael Oku added that AEW promoted his match with MJF on their shows, so obviously there has been some communication with him regarding that.
“I think that’s the most I can confirm, is that there’s been contact made.” Michael Oku said. “Which obviously makes sense. I wrestled Will earlier in the year in front of Tony Khan. I got to meet Tony Khan and have a conversation with him there at the venue as it happened. This match happens with MJF, they’ve posted my promo on their channels, they’re promoting this. So, there’s been contact to allow these things to happen with AEW, so there’s been contact of what we can potentially do in the future. I’ll leave it there.”
