Tyler Bate was once WWE’s most promising stars, but at 28 years old his future in the promotion looks bleak.

The former United Kingdom Champion has suffered from some stop-start booking in the last few years in WWE, which has done little to build his credibility in the promotion.

A recent long-term injury didn’t help Tyler Bate, as he missed a year of action just when his tag team with Pete Dunne had begun to take off.

Sadly, his recent “benching”, as Nick Khan would call it, has led to speculation about his future, as fans wonder if Tyler Bate will be in WWE much longer.

Tyler Bate is still in WWE but has been pulled from TV

Fans who want to see more of Tyler Bate will be disappointed, as Triple H has benched the 28-year-old with no sign of him returning in the future.

The English wrestler hasn’t wrestled on TV since May, when he teamed with Pete Dunne as the New-Catch Republic in a victory over A-Town Down Under.

However, that was on Main Event, which is barely televised at all. In fact, he hasn’t wrestled on a main TV show since his appearance in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on SmackDown, prior to WrestleMania 41.

Given that Bate was one of the best wrestlers in the world in the 2010s, his fall from grace and failure to even get booked by Triple H is a huge failure from the company.

Despite Nick Khan’s insistence that WWE doesn’t bench talent, Bate has been absent from TV for months, with reports from July insisting he is not injured and just wants to get back in the ring.

The only appearance he made was under a mask, playing El Grande Americano IV just once on an episode of SmackDown back in August, before disappearing back into catering until Main Event needs a jobber again.

His immense talent has not been nutured, but wasted by the controversial wrestling corporation, and his chances of succeeding under Triple H’s booking seem completely impossible.

If WWE won’t book him, expect to see Bate leaving the company in the near future.

WWE have Tyler Bate signed to a long-term contract but could let the English star leave

WWE could lose Bate once his lengthy contract comes to an end in the next few years.

He signed his first deal in 2017 after winning the WWE’s United Kingdom tournament, which was rumoured to be a five-year deal for Bate.

At some point since then, the 28-year-old signed an extension, which is it was another five-year contract, then we can expect his deal to run out in 2027.

While Tyler Bate’s contract length and its specifics haven’t been publicly revealed, we feel confident in predicting how long he will be in WWE for.

Given how little Bate has been pushed and his recent benching by Triple H, it would be surprising to see him run down the deal and leave, or even be released prior to the contract’s end date.

While a return to PROGRESS could help rejuvenate the promotion, a jump to AEW could make Bate a huge star and see him fulfill the potential he showed a decade ago in Britain.
