Zack Sabre Jr wants a fourth match with Hechicero in a year in Japan after three fantastic bouts against one another.
The pair wrestled all over the world in 2024, in increasingly spectacular and intriguing bouts.
Their first match in CMLL was a two-out-of-three falls match in Mexico that saw Hechicero win a match that Dave Meltzer rated a five-star classic.
They followed it up with a match at the RevPro 12th Anniversary show and NJPW’s Battle in the Valley 2025, both of which Zack Sabre Jr came out the winner.
With three amazing matches in three seperate countires, a fourth bout could take place in somewhere the Englishman is very familair.

Zack Sabre Jr said: “It was a great experience. I would love to be able to spend weeks, if not months, over in CMLL.
“A lot of my career has been sort of attached, officially and unofficially, with Bryan Danielson, but you know, my rival and maybe soulmate in a wrestling ring is Hechicero.
“We were talking in the ring after the match, and we agreed that we owe each other at least one more.
“As much as I want to get back to Mexico, I think our next singles match has to be in Japan.
“We’ve done England, America, Mexico — so yeah, for me, we need to do it in Japan next.”
Sabre Jr recently lost his IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, having lost it to Hirooki Goto at New Beginnings in Osaka 2025.
Zack Sabre Jr rejected a WWE contract to wrestle in Japan
It may be hard to believe, given his status as a legendary gaijin in Japan, but Zack Sabre Jr rejected the WWE before making a permanent move to NJPW.
After Suzuki-Gun disbanded in 2022, he emotionally took to social meda to talk about how he joined the group after rejecting a WWE contract.
“Six years ago I had the choice between WWE and New Japan.” Sabre Jr said.
I chose New Japan because Minoru Suzuki invited me into Suzuki-gun. It’s more than a team, it’s family.
“Today isn’t just the end of Suzuki-gun, today’s the end of Dangerous Tekkers.”
While he has made appearances in AEW in recent years, Sabre Jr remains loyal to NJPW for the forseeable future.
