Will Kaven has revealed how he learnt to become a wrestler at the RevPro Wrestling School.

Ever since the RevPro 12th Anniversary show, Will Kaven has held the Undisputed British Cruiserweight Championship in the promotion. With his shocking red hair and aggressive wrestling style, Will Kaven has cemented himself as a future top star in the promotion.

While he is one of the most hated heel in the Cruiserweight Division in RevPro, he cast a much different figure in conversation with The Soul Sessions on YouTube.

The Undisputed British Cruiserweight Champion spoke about how he became a wrestling fan before discovering the RevPro school in Portsmouth that taught him to become a pro wrestler.

“As a wrestling fan, I just started watching it on TV when I was probably around 12 or so. I was always aware of it because some of my cousins and friends at school would watch it, but I never really got into it properly.” Will Kaven told The Soul Sessions.

“Yeah, I’d say around 2012 was when I really started watching, and then about a year later, I thought, ‘I wonder how you actually get into this sort of thing?’ I had no idea if there was any training available anywhere.”

“It turns out there was a school just 15 minutes from my house in Portsmouth—the RevPro school—and yeah, the rest is history. Here I am today.”

Will Kaven: Andy Quildan Is A ‘Fantastic Creative Mind’

The Undisputed British Cruiserweight Champion continued. He discussed how Andy Quildan helped train him, teaching him to become “the wrestler he is today”.

Will Kaven called Andy Quildan “a fantastic creative mind”.

“I hadn’t heard about independent wrestling or anything outside of WWE, apart from TNA, which was also on TV over here. I had no idea about any of that until I started training.”

“Once I got into training, the other guys at the school were the ones who really opened my eyes to everything else. That’s when I started watching Japanese wrestling, Mexican wrestling, and more UK wrestling.”

“The training itself was very tough at times but also incredibly useful. It gave me a really strong foundation in the basics, which I feel has helped me a lot. And, of course, having the knowledge and guidance of Andy Quildan, who runs RevPro—he’s a fantastic creative mind.”

“All of that has come together to make me the wrestler I am today.”

Later in the interview, Will Kaven said that “Andy Quildan is RevPro. Its a one-man operation”, showing how intertwined he is with the company’s success.

Will Kaven Names His ‘Mount Rushmore’ Of RevPro

Will Kaven was also asked who he would name on his “Mount Rushmore” of RevPro talent.

He named four men who have held the Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship, including the first-ever champion, the longest-reigning champion and the current champion to round out his top four.

“Okay, so obviously Will Ospreay, Zack Sabre Jr., Michael Oku, and Sha Samuels—that’s what I’m going with.” Will Kaven said.

Maybe one day, he will be up there with those four stars.
