Trent Seven: Alleged Victims Deny He Did Anything (Speaking Out)

Trent Seven was completely exonerated after being accused of some horrendous stuff during the Speaking Out movement.

June 2020 was a tough time for British wrestling. COVID did a number of the indie scene, with so many wrestlers put out of work when the country shut down.

That got even worse when David Starr was accused of sexual misconduct with a number of female wrestlers. His accusations got the ball rolling on what later became known as the “Speaking Out Movement”, which outed numerous wrestlers are sexual predators.

Stars like El Ligero and Marty Scurll ruined their careers when they were accused. Meanwhile, the likes of Tyler Bate and JD McDonagh‘s claims were proven untrue, and they returned to their roles in the WWE.

A similar thing happened to Trent Seven.

Trent Seven Was Accused Of Hitting On Underage Girls During Speaking Out

Trent Seven was another name accused as part of the Speaking Out movement in June 2020.

A Twitter user called Megan, in a now deleted Tweet, accused Trent Seven of hitting on underage girls after a wrestling event.

Information of these accusations have been scrubbed from the internet for the most part, with only summeries of what she said, rather than the original Tweet.

It was alleged that Trent Seven was selling shirts after a wrestling event in or before 2020. Three or four girls, allegedly underage, were also there, and he was said to have tried to hit on them.

Despite them rejecting his advances, Trent Seven persisted. He tried to buy them drinks despite being underage, and refused to take no for an answer.

In the end, he is said to have slept with the oldest in the group. This was another accuser of his called Danielle Matheson, who was 23 at the time.

She claimed that she did so to protect the other women, who he had allegedly got drunk. Obviously, this is all nonsense and easily disprovable by everybody involved.

All Parties Involved Denied Any Wrongdoing

Soon after the accusation, Trent Seven released a statement deny any and all accusations.

In a now-deleted Tweet, the TNA star denied the claims against him, and implied he would take the matter futher with legal action.

“The assumptions in the claim against me are untrue and a defamation of character. I will be taking this matter further. Ben”

His threats of legal action seemed to have weight. Just one day later, the accuser posted a Tweet apologising for causing “serious professional harm and emotional distress” to Trent Seven.

“As per recent communication from Trent Seven’s legal representation, I have deleted my tweets from June 24th and 25th. I’m sorry they have apparently caused him serious professional harm and emotional distress. Please direct any questions to Nath Solicitors +44 0203 670 5540”

As well as his denial, one of the girls who Trent Seven was accused of “hitting on” poured water on the story. She refuted the idea that the girls were underrage and that the wrestler hit on them.

In fact, they were all over 18 (with the eldest being 23), and the only one who was drunk was Trent Seven himself. He even refused to buy them drinks or give them any of his, once he learned some of them were under 21.

Also, it wasn’t Trent who was trying to pull the girls. The alleged victim actually revealed that her friend (the 19-year-old) “had intentions to get with Trent” that night, while she also attempted to due to confusion over her sexuality.

The end of the Tweet is not clear. It looks as if she claims the pair did sleep with Trent, and she mentioned being “taken advantage” sexually in the past. However, it doesn’t read like Trent Seven did anything illegal or wrong.
