Revolution Pro Wrestling held its first show in Sheffield in 2025 today, with their “Live In Sheffield” event.

Their event on Sunday 23rd of February took place in Network in Sheffield, as nearly 1000 fans packed the venue for their first taste of British wrestling this year.

With the company building to its Epic Encounter 2025 event and Mercedes Mone’s debut in the company, this show had huge ramifications for their upcoming storylines and the rest of the year as well.

Here are the full results and recaps for RevPro Live in Sheffield on February 23rd, 2025.

‘Dynamite’ Lee Dawson & Jordan Saeed vs Jay Joshua & Connor Mills

The show kicked off with David Fransico complaining about being screwed out of the Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship last week before Jay Joshua and Connor Mills faced two young RevPro contenders in a squash match.

The Undisputed Tag Team Champions are already set to defend their belts against the Young Guns at RevPro Epic Encounters and they toyed with their less experienced opponents. They had them beat on numerous occasions, lifting the shoulders of Dawson and Saeed to carry on the punishment.

Mills and Joshu picked up an easy and short victory, sending a message to Ethan Allen and Luke Jacobs for their upcoming match.

Winner: Connor Mills and Jay Joshua via pinfall.

Skye Smitson vs Kanji

After the announcement of her match against Deonna Purazzo at Epic Encounters, Kanji continued her impressive performances in RevPro with a victory over Skye Smitson.

Smitson used her power and aggression to get on top of Kanji, in a style reminiscent of WWE’s Shayna Baszler. Her strength was unmatched by Kanji, but the Nottingham-born wrestler used her technical skills to compete with her larger opponent.

Kanji used her hard kicks to chop Smitson down to size and get on top of the match. She worked a number of body parts throughout the match, searching for a tap-out win.

She managed it, locking in a modified Octopus Stretch to force Smitson to submit, giving Kanji the victory en route to facing Purazzo in three weeks.

Winner: Kanji vs submission.

Kanji is the most likely wrestler to face Mercedes Mone at RevPro High Stakes 2025.

Richard Holliday vs Harry Milligan

Sha Samuels keeps making Harry Milligan fight increasingly more dangerous opponents, as he stepped into the ring with American star Richard Holliday this week on RevPro in Sheffield.

Samuels led the “Harry!” chants as he motivated his partner to face off against Holliday, despite the smaller man wanting no part of the match. His confidence grew throughout the match as the crowd in Network got behind the young star.

He was physically dominated by Holliday, much to the anger of Sha Samuels. He gave him a slap on the outside, which prompted Harry to slap his opponent to kick off an extended sequence of offence. The motivated Milligan looked good value until a massive clothesline knocked him back down to earth.

The match was mainly just Harry on the outside being shouted at by Samuels. It told a good story but was painfully boring and seemed like a bit of a waste of Richard Holliday in this role. He was a secondary character in this match, which was a real disappointment.

This match should have ended after a double under hook backbreaker and powerbomb combination, but Harry Milligan kicked out. A miscommunication saw Samuels get knocked off the apron, leaving Harry open for a low blow and a 2008 before being pinned by Richard Holliday.

A poor match that looks to set up Holliday vs Samuels. It went way too long and made the American look weak.

Winner: Richard Holliday via pinfall.

After the match, Sha Samuels challenged Richard Holliday to a match next week.

Robbie X vs Nino Bryant

One of Britain’s best wrestlers faced one-third of the Bryant Brothers, as Bullet Club‘s Robbie X took on Nino Bryant just before the interval at RevPro in Sheffield. This was always going to be a great match, especially given how much Nino Bryant has improved over the past year as a singles star.

This was a good work rate match, as all Robbie X bouts are. He sold Nino Bryant’s high-flying offence well and gave the youngster a lot in this match, making him look great in Sheffield.

Nino Bryant has some incredibly unorthodox dodges and counters, many of which even the commentators seemed incredibly shocked about. The crowd were on their feet for the whole bout, although this is not uncommon for a Robbie X match.

Numerous times they thought that Nino Bryant was going to get an unexpected win over Robbie X, who is already booked in a Cruiserweight title match at Epic Encounter. The bout went a bit too long for my liking and Nino kicked out of almost everything, but he looked fantastic in defeat after being pinned by Robbie X.

Winner: Robbie X via pinfall.

Stephen Wolf vs Ethan Allen

While they are both preparing for title matches in three weeks time, Stephen Wolf and Ethan Allen took time out to face off with each other after the interval at RevPro Live In Sheffield.

This was a clash of two styles. Wolf has the speed and agility while Ethan Allen utilised hard strikes and submission wrestling to get one over his American opponent. In particular, a running Penalty Kick to the spine had everyone in Network wincing at the main felt by Stephen Wolf.

Wolf starred in this match and continued his impressive performances since his return to RevPro this year. He hit a 619 followed by a Vertigo to pick up another win before his title match with Robbie X and Will Kaven at Epic Encounter.

Winner: Stephen Wolf via pinfall.

After the match, Robbie X confronted Wolf and was attacked by Matt Kaven. Wolf then took both men out, before walking out with the Undisputed British Cruiserweight Championship draped over his shoulder.

Connor Mills and Jay Joshua then attacked Ethan Allen, as they built to a tag team title match at Epic Encounters.

RKJ vs JJ Gale

Ricky Knight Jr and JJ Gale brawled all over the venue to kick off their match tonight. Both men have declared themselves as future Undisputed British Heavyweight Champions, with RKJ showing a newfound aggressive style that puts him in pole position for the match.

He beat down Gale with some disgusting strikers, with Gale replying with lots of flashy dodges and high-flying offence. It soon turned into a brawl, JJ Gale dominating RKJ as he laid into him with strong punches as they battled in the crowd.

RKJ then took a book out of JJ Gale’s book, hitting an elbow drop from the stage as Gale lay prone on the ring apron. He then hit him with a Jackhammer, somehow only getting a two-count. He tried to steal wins with low blows and using his feet on the rope for leverage, but JJ Gale somehow remained in the match.

Then, to the surprise of absolutely everybody, JJ Gale rolled up RJK and got a three-count, winning the match to a massive pop. RKJ looked like a monster in the match but the resilience of JJ Gale was unmatched.

Winner: JJ Gale via roll-up.

It was assumed that RKJ was facing Michael Oku at Epic Encounter for the Undisputed British Heavyweight title. This could go to JJ Gale now, but the post-match fight between the pair could mean that the match will now be a triple threat.

The pair had to be separated after the match. RKJ threw a chair at JJ Gale and no sold a superkick, before throwing another chair a RevPro crew member. This actually began to seem like a real fight, but I think that is just a testament to both men’s performance.

They couldn’t be separated and the pair brawled back to the locker room, with a number of referees and security in tow. RKJ was a sore loser and the result may turn out worse for JJ Gale’s safety than losing would have.

1 Called Manders & Michael Oku vs Liam Slater & Leon Slater

In the night’s main event, Liam Slater and his protege Leon Slater battled against 1 Called Manders and Michael Oku, with the result likely having a big impact on who Oku defends his title against at Epic Encounter.

Oku and Slater tussled at the start, with Leon Slater mockingly applauding the champion after he kicked out of a roll-up just before the three count. They gave a preview of what could be the Epic Encounter main event, although Oku’s opponent still remains to be seen three weeks out.

Next, Liam Slater and 1 Called Manders grappled, with Slater’s technical skill getting him on top of the larger Manders. He used his strength to battle back, trying to get back to winning ways after losing to Leon Slater two weeks ago.

The story the match told was about the communication between the two teams. The Slater’s took inspiration from Leon’s TNA partners the Hardy Boyz, using their moves to add to their supreme chemistry as a duo.

They used their skills as a team to single out Michael Oku, who was not on the same page as 1 Called Manders, being very wary that all three men are after his Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship. They managed to double-team both men individually, showing their dominance as a duo.

However, it soon descended into chaos. All four men were in and out of the ring, hitting some massive moves with some of the nearest near-falls you’ll ever see. There was an odd part where Michael Oku had Leon Slater in a half crab, so Liam Slater got Manders in the same submission instead of breaking up the submission, but it was great to watch so keep it going!

The match ended with a wild brawl, as 1 Called Manders pinned Liam Slater to win the match for his team. Considering Leon Slater beat Manders last week and the result of JJ Gale vs Ricky Knight Jr, the opponent for Michael Oku is looking even more confusing going forward.

Winner: 1 Called Manders and Michael Oku via pinfall

After the match, 1 Called Mnaders hit Oku with a lariat before donning his cowboy hat and posing with the Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship.

Michael Oku then grabbed a microphone and challenged every one of the hopefults to a match, with 1 Called Manders next on the list.

Review

This week’s RevPro was another good watch. Most of the matches were great, although with a tendency to go a little over the top and with one too many near falls for my liking.

It was a much more match-heavy and promo-light show than the other ones this year, which was a nice change of pace. However, a promo or two from some of Oku’s challengers would have been welcomed, although they built up those matches very well.

The lack of female representation on the show was disappointing. A second women’s match involving the Cut Throat Collective would have been better, as they can build up towards a second women’s match at Epic Encounter.
