Progress Chapter 175 Unboxing VII Match Card, Predictions & Spoilers

Progress Wrestling brings its famous Unboxing event to the Electric Ballroom in Camden, London for what will certainly be an exciting show for fans of British wrestling.

The annual Unboxing event has become a Christmas favourite for the Progress fans. Starting in 2016, the festive event has been a time to put an end to old stories or even plant seeds for what to expect in the New Year.

The concept of the event is simple – anything can happen! No matches are generally announced ahead of time, with fans having no clue who could turn up!

The Unboxing event allows the opportunity for dream matches you never expected, partners facing each other for the first time or even impromptu title matches that even the champion didn’t know was happening!

Progress Wrestling Chapter 175: Unboxing VII is the promotion’s final event of the year. Subtitled The Curtain Call, they are planning to fill the Electric Ballroom with only one man announced for the show so far.

Progress Unboxing 2024 Full Match Card

As is tradition for the annual show, no matches have been announced for Progress Chapter 175. The unboxing show will be a total surprise to the fans, although one big star has been announced to be wrestling at the event.

Progress announced on Twitter that Mexican star El Hijo Del Vikingo will be wrestling on the Unboxing show this year.

He was supposed to make his debut for the London-based company in November against Cara Noir, but an injury forced El Hijo Del Vikingo to pull out. It seems like his debut match has been moved to this show, and they are likely paying him a large fee to appear.

Therefore, it makes little business sense for Progress to book him to wrestle without advertising him. This may go against the spirit of the Unboxing show, but it is simply good business sense.

Progress Chapter 175: Unboxing Predictions

Due to the nature of the event, its hard to give any predictions as to matches that are taking place at Progress Chapter 175: Unboxing.

While Curtain Call will feature El Hijo Del Vikingo, I doubt he will be wrestling Cara Noir as previously intended. That is too big a match to do without a good build up.

However, we could see Vikingo against someone like Trent Seven, or even an impromptu title match against Progress World Champion Luke Jacobs. He will have a chip on his shoulder after his loss at RevPro Uprising 2024, so that bout could be incredible.

If any rumours about potential appearances start swirling, then we’ll be the first to report them here at BritWrestling!
