Progress Chapter 171 Results: Cara Noir Wins On Return

Cara Noir won in his first match in 16 months at Progress 171: History Is Written By The Victors.

The Englishman suffered a foot injured a foot injury last year, which threatened to end his career. However, the “Black Swan” came back better than ever beating Japanese star Yosiki Inamura in his first match back.

Marina Shafir also picked up a win, in her debut matc in Progress. Defending her Defy Women’s title, she beat both Kanji and Nina Samuels in a three-way match at the event.

Progress also crowned new tag teama champions. Charlie Sterling and Nick Riley beat former WWE star Big Damo and Axel Tischer to win the Progress tag team championships.

The main event saw another huge clash. Luke Jacobs, fresh off winning the Undisputed British Heavyweight title last month, defended his Progress World Championship against recently-unretired Welshman, Eddie Dennis.

Jacobs won the match, continuing his reign as the first man to hold both titles in Progress and RevPro history.

  • Allie Katch defeated Lizzy Evo
  • Marina Shafir defeated Nina Samuels & Kanji to retain the Defy Women’s Championship
  • Smokin’ Aces defeated Sanity to become the new Progress Tag Team Champions
  • Rho defeated Emersyn Jayne to retain the Progress Women’s Championship
  • Paul Robinson defeated Connor Mills to retain the Progress Proteus Championship. Simon Miller came out post match and challenged him for the next show.
  • Cara Noir defeated Yoshiki Inamura
  • Tate Mayfairs defeated Mike Bird
  • Luke Jacobs defeated Eddie Dennis to retain the Progress World Championship. Tate Mayfairs threw in the towel for Dennis.

Progress also announced that Cara Noir will face KENTA for the DEFY World Championship at Progress Chapter 172.
