Nixon Newell is returning to wrestling in 2025 and it could be the biggest year in her career yet.
The former Tegan Nox was announced to be released from the WWE last year, with the company giving her a notice period before her deal expires.
Fans will be wondering whether Nixon Nixon will be returning to the UK or remaining in the United States once her 90 days with WWE are up on January 30th.
She was announced for Attack! Pro Wrestling’s show in December, although the Welsh star was pulled from the appearance in her home country.

That does show she is open to returning home to the UK, likely back to her home town of Bargoed. With the biggest companies being based in big cities like London and Manchester, she will need to travel to make full use of the BritWres scene in 2025.
However, her time in the United States doesn’t seem to be done. The former Tegan Nox will be appearing at Jimmy’s World Order, doing a signing at the shop in Los Angeles in March 2025.
This appears as if the visa issues that stopped her from wrestling in the US during her hiatus from the WWE in the past have been fixed and she will be free to appear for US promotions once her time with Triple H’s company is up.
There are some good options for The Girl With The Shiniest Wizard. As a Welsh AEW fan, I would love to see Nixon Newell battling it out with the likes of Toni Storm, Mariah May and Jamie Hayter in the promotion.
However, the best option may be in TNA. They have a blossoming Knockouts division that is one of the highlights of the weekly show. With the losses of stars like Gisele Shaw and Jordynne Grace, there is a free spot in the main event scene in TNA which Nixon Newell could fill perfectly.
This would also give her a slightly smaller stage to rebuild herself, following the disappointing, injury-riddled stint in the WWE over the past few years.
Nixon Newell has so many options in her return to wrestling, but it’s what she could do in the United Kingdom that makes me most excited.
Nixon Newell Would Be A Huge Addition To RevPro

A return to BritWres would be a fantastic way for Nixon Newell to shed Tegan Nox and get back to her best.
She previously found great success in promotions like WCPW, Pro Wrestling EVE and Attack! Pro Wrestling. However, I think appearing for RevPro could be great for both the wrestler and the promotion.
Despite not being able to show it much in her last stint with the WWE, Nixon Newell is a fantastic wrestler. Her matches in the indies before signing were some of the best in the UK and there was a reason she was snapped up while still in her early twenties.
Since she’s been gone, RevPro’s women’s division has become a highlight of the show, buoyed by Mercedes Mone’s recent Undisputed British Women’s Championship victory.
While Nixon Newell vs Mercedes Mone is a dream match anywhere in the world, it is not the only bout the fans would love to see.
Seeing the Welsh star joining forces with the likes of Kanji, Zoe Lucas and Dani Luna to battle the Cut Throat Collective would be box office stuff and a fantastic way to introduce her back to the British fanbase.
It also might encourage Andy Quildan to book a show in Cardiff again. Having a Welsh star on the card would definitely help and, quite frankly, I just want to go to that show. Seeing Nixon Newell battling in the ring again would only add to the experience.
Whether her extensive list of knee injuries has affected her too much in the ring remains to be seen. However, Nixon Newell has been wrestling for over a decade, despite still being only thirty years old.
She has more experience than most wrestlers in the promotion and will have learnt so much in working in the ring from her time in the WWE.
Bringing back all she has learned from the States to the UK would only help the women’s division while drawing big box office numbers from fans of the Welsh Wizard.
I hope and pray Nixon Newell comes back to the UK in 2025 and proves just how good she is after her struggles in the WWE. Time will tell if that is the case but I have every faith in her making that happen.
But even if she stays in the US, I’m sure she’ll become a star. But who knows?
As the French say, C’est La Vie.
