Marty Scurll has named the opponents that gave him the best matches in his career.
Over a two-decade career in wrestling, The Villain crossed the globe to face some of the greatest of all time. He has now named who were the best and made him realise “wow, these guys are good!”
Speaking with the I Love Wrestling Podcast, Marty Scurll named three men as being the standouts to him. He said his best matches were against Bryan Danielson at All-Star Wrestling in 2008, Kazuchika Okada at All In 2018 and his two bouts with AJ Styles in RevPro in 2015.
He singled out Okada specifically, reminiscing about realising how good the Japanese star was when they first faced off in the ring.

“There have been a lot of wrestlers throughout my career, but there are a few—actually, three—who really stood out to me. These are the guys I was in the ring with, and during the match, I just found myself thinking, ‘Wow, this guy is so damn good.’” Marty Scurll said.
“The three that come to mind are AJ Styles, Bryan Danielson, and Okada. All three of them are just on another level. I remember being in the ring with Okada and thinking, ‘This guy is just so freaking good.’ It’s hard to even explain why—it’s like he’s got something intangible that you can’t put into words. He just is.“
