Jeff Hardy Is STILL Banned From The UK (And Canada!)

Any British wrestling fans that want to see Jeff Hardy perform any time soon, I suggest you invest in a plane ticket.

That is because there is no way Jeff Hardy is getting into the United Kingdom. He is banned from entering the country, which isn’t for the first time.

In 2013, he was pulled from TNA’s tour of the country. Hardy was replaced by Sting for the events, although fans were upset at him being advertised for weeks before the announcement.

This was particularly egregious, as TNA knew he wouldn’t be allowed in. He was pulled from the tour the year prior as well. There was no way Jeff Hardy was able to enter the UK, yet TNA advertised him anyway.

Jeff Hardy was banned from the UK because of an arrest and sentencing in 2009. He was sentenced to a fine, ten days in jail and 30 months of probation after a SWAT team busted his home, finding copious amounts of drugs.

The fact he was convicted, and given jail time, meant that Jeff Hardy was not allowed into the country any more. However, that was not immediately an issue, as he appeared for TNA in their “Maximum Impact” tour of the UK in 2011.

He wasn’t sentenced until October 2011, which stopped Jeff Hardy appearing in TNA’s 2012 and 2013 tours. He wouldn’t wrestle in the United Kingdom again until he re-signed with the WWE in 2017.

Jeff Hardy teamed with Matt Hardy for a series of bouts, following their return at WrestleMania 33. He appeared regularly on following European tours until 2022, when he left the WWE.

He would have been allowed to wrestle at AEW All In in 2023. Jeff Hardy joined AEW in 2022, and he and his brother were set to win the AEW Tag Team Titles. Sadly, another DUI and arrest saw him lose his spot, and, more crucially, getting him banned from entering the United Kingdom again.

Jeff Hardy is also banned from Canada. He was written off TV after his debut match in the company this year. This was because TNA Slammiversary, the company’s biggest pay per view, was in Montreal.

Hardy is not allowed to enter the country due to his convictions, so wasn’t able to wrestle on the show.

Jeff Hardy On His 2009 Arrest And SWAT Bust

Jeff Hardy spoke about his arrest in 2009. He appeared on Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions, and detailed what happened that night and how going to jail affected him.

“I was ordering pills illegally in the mail [and] got busted. SWAT team comes into my house, me and my wife and our little dog. I was busted. I got busted for getting pills illegally, and I thought my life was over. Went to jail that weekend. It was a mind-blowing experience. I was terrified. I thought my life was over. That was the time that really scared me straight.

When I realized that ‘okay, things might be okay. This might not be the end of my life. As long as I get clean and I do what I need to be doing and staying clean and staying out of trouble. Things are going to be alright.’ And that led to 2010 man. My wife gave birth to our first daughter, and then five years later to our second daughter. But yeah, leaving WWE where I was, and then it was like, oh my god, total rock bottom.”
