AEW star Deonna Purazzo is set to face off against Kanji at RevPro Epic Encounter 2025.
The Virtuosa has been very vocal about her booking in AEW in recent weeks. She has told management that she wants to be used better and now has the chance to prove it against one of the top female wrestlers in Britain today.
As announced on Twitter, Nottingham’s Kanji is booked to face Deonna Purazzo in a huge cross-promotional match against the AEW star. Kanji already beat Serena Deeb at Uprising last year, so a win against another AEW wrestler could go a long way for her.
In the Tweet, RevPro simply wrote: “Sunday March 16th The Hangar, Wolverhampton DEONNA PURRAZZO VS KANJI”. This is a first-time match and marks Deonna Purazzo’s first match in RevPro since a defeat to Jinny in 2018.
Given how high-profile that bout is in the women’s division, a win for Kanji makes it very likely to put her in contention to face Mercedes Mone for the Undisputed British Women’s Champion at Epic Encounters next month.

The Nottingham-born is coming off some huge wins recently. At RevPro’s last big event (Uprising 2024), she beat another AEW star, Serena Deeb, in one of the matches of the night to stake her claim as a top star in the company.
While she remains engaged in the division-wide rivalry between the women in RevPro and the Cut Throat Collective, Kanji has shown that she should be the top star in the division and the next opponent for Mercedes Moné.
Kanji is the perfect babyface and fantastic in the ring, making her an ideal opponent for Mercedes Moné . While the American is expected to hold the title for a long time, a defence against Kanji would go a long way to cementing herself as champion in the UK.
