Here is our preview and full predictions for the upcoming PROGRESS Wrestling Presents Chapter 169: The Devil On My Shoulder.

Main Event: PROGRESS World Title Match: Kid Lykos (c) vs Luke Jacobs

In the highly anticipated main event of PROGRESS Wrestling Chapter 169: The Devil On My Shoulder, Super Strong Style 16 winner Luke Jacobs will challenge Kid Lykos for the PROGRESS Men’s World Championship.

Jacobs attacked his former friend at the last Progress chapter, helping set up this huge clash at one of Progress’ biggest shows this year. He claimed his is going to burn the soul of PROGRESS down, and a new version will rise under his rule.

Luke Jacobs is one of the fastest-rising stars on the UK indies today. Despite the wonderful work Kid Lykos has done as the Progress World Champion, this should be his chance to become champion for the first time.

PROGRESS Atlas Title Match: Axel Tischer (c) vs. Mike D

Axel Tischer is set to defend his newly acquired ATLAS Title against the formidable Mike D. Already holding the tag team championship as part of SAnitY with Big Damo, Axel (formerly Alexander Wolfe in WWE) has embraced the role of a fighting double champion.

He has vowed to face all challengers and bear the weight of this responsibility. Mike D, who made an impressive debut in our last chapter, has captivated audiences with his exceptional strength, speed, and agility. This upcoming match promises to be a thrilling clash of titans, highlighting the prowess and talent of the ATLAS division.

PROGRESS Proteus Title Match: Robbo (c) vs. Malik

he reigning Proteus Champion, Robbo, is set to face Malik in a highly anticipated showdown. After betraying his former protégé, Robbo aims to end THE HITTA once and for all.

Meanwhile, Malik is determined to claim the Proteus Title, the one thing Robbo holds dear. Malik could become the first wrestler to wrestle the gold from Robbo’s grasp since 2019.

Paul Robinson’s title reign has been legendary, and I do not predict it to end quite yet.

PROGRESS Women’s Title Match: Rhio (c) vs. Emersyn Jayne

Rhio is set to defend her Women’s Title against the fierce Emersyn Jayne in an eagerly awaited rematch. Their previous encounter ended in controversy due to interference by Nina Samuels, but this time, there must be a winner!

With the fact that Rhio visited the WWE when Clash at the Castle came to Glasgow, she could be on her way out of Progress. A move to WWE would be huge, and would mean she would need to lose this match. We predict that Rhio will drop the belt, and leave to join NXT soon afterward.

BUSSY (Allie Katch & Effy) vs. ??? & Charles Crowley

BUSSY, the charismatic duo of Allie Katch and Effy, will face off against Charles Crowley and a mystery partner. Can Crowley overcome the loss of Alexxis Falcon due to injury and find success with a new partner?

BUSSY have been making waves on the American indie scene, particularly in GCW, and now they are set to make their PROGRESS Wrestling debut as a team.

The fact that BUSSY are making their debut will mean one of two things. If this is their only appearance, they should lose. But, given Alexxis Falcon’s injury, I can see Crowley and a mystery partner losing their match, and Bussy making more appearances going forward after their win.

Danhausen vs. Gene Munny

AEW’s fan-favourite Danhausen has been wowing crowds across the UK recently, and makes his way to Progress for chapter 169. He steps into the ring with the ever-entertaining Gene Munny, so expect unique antics in this entertaining singles match.

Danhausen should pick up the win. Munny can take the loss, and the crowd will be delighted seeing the comedic talents of the AEW star enough so they will be thrilled to see him win.

Kid Lykos II vs. Man Like DeReiss

Kid Lykos II faces off against Man Like DeReiss in a first time ever match. This matchup is sure to keep fans on the edge of their seats, and both much loved wrestlers on their toes.

DeReiss has quicklu becoming a favorite all across the UK. He is seemingly on the top billing of every indie across the country, earning fans wherever he goes. We predict Kid Lykos II to win, but the crowd will go home signing “0121” on the train home.

Lana Austin & Rob Drake vs. LA Taylor & Skye Smitson

Tag team action heats up as the Lana Austin Experience explode. After years of dominating the division together, Lana Austin turned on LA Taylor and Skye Smitson. Now, we see the fallout in what promises to be an all out slugfest.

Aigle Blanc vs. Leon Slater

Aigle Blanc goes head-to-head with Leon Slater in what promises to be a high-flying, fast-paced bout between two of the hottest crusierweights in the game today. These two have NEVER faced eachother before and you can witness history on Sunday July 28th.
