Zack Sabre Jr vs Bryan Danielson
For years, the biggest dream match in wrestling was Sabre Jr battling another technical wizard in one of his heroes, Bryan Danielson.
While they previously wrestled in 2008 and 2009, Danielson’s match with Sabre in 2023 was a much different experience.
Both men had come on leaps and bounds in the decade and a half since their first encounter, becoming two of the best wrestlers in the world.
Danielson won their first clash at AEW WrestleDream in a match that broke the 5-star scale. Meanwhile, their rematch in NJPW surpassed the original in what was one of the best matches of 2024.
Zack Sabre Jr vs Samoa Joe

Sabre Jr has named a singles match with Joe a dream match of his, which would be a perfect bout for AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door.
Zack Sabre Jr’s injury
While his technical style is low-impact and keeps Sabre Jr healthier than most wrestlers, he has still suffered from injuries throughout his career.
In late 2022, Zack Sabre Jr. suffered a mild shoulder injury during the G1 Climax tournament, which caused him to miss several matches in NJPW’s World Tag League. However, he returned in early 2023 and has remained largely injury-free since then.
