On August 25th, 2024, Nigel McGuinness walked out at Wembley Stadium to the tune of 50,000 screaming fans.

Ardant fans may try and correct me, and state that he actually walked out to the Oasis track, “Fuckin’ In The Bushes”.

That may have been true. However, the excitemtn of the crowd was so loud, that I simply did not hear a single note of it.

That is how big Nigel McGuinness’ return to wrestling for the first time in 13 years was to the British wrestling fans.

Seeing the former ROH Champion back wrestling was a long time coming. He had retired with little fanfare in 2011, ending a meek retirement tour in front of a few hundred fans in West Virginia.

It was a far cry from the day he decided to become a profesional wrestler, as the site of the celebrated Summerslam 1992 event.
